Calling Coloradans 📞

While phones are a tried and true outreach tactic, we looked into the data to see if we can make it even more effective. Using an autodialer, we were able to make over 16,000 dials over the course of two weeks calling 9am-5:30pm on weekdays. Normally, one would expect that call responses would be higher later in the day, however our data showed that the number of “talking to correct person” responses in the first and second halves of the day are almost exactly the same at 670 and 671 respectively.

Talking to Correct Person Frequency by Hour

However, this time efficacy gap widens when we look at the number of participants who actually take the survey after their identity is confirmed. Respondents after 1:15pm are 11% more likely to actually take the survey than their earlier counterparts.

Persuasion

When our teams were able to survey Coloradans, we asked first about their familiarity with a specific policy and then their level of support for that policy. For respondents who were unfamiliar with the policy, after our team explained it, 78% reported either strong support or lean support. This speaks both to our team’s ability to effectively persuade on policy and our clients’ clear understanding of how to message to their target community.
